Hi-Trust Biotechnology is a company devoted to the research and development of algae, different from the common seaweed on current market such as Chlorella a and Spirulina. We are engaged in the production of tiny as well as king-sized algae, and our products can be applied to seasonings, medication, aquatic industry, and cosmetics
Located in subtropical area, Taiwan has ample sunshine and trus is suitable for the development of algae. Our algae factory is located in the garden of Taiwan-Hualien, and to implement and enhance the steadiness of our production of algae, we use deep-sea pure water, which is taken from 600 meters under the sea level and rich in nutrition salts. Hi-Trust Biotechnology is one of the few companies in the world that use deep sea water in the development of algae and have the steady ability of algae mass production.
The current products of Chlorella and Spirulina become very popular hot because of their nutrition but because of their convenience in mass production in China and the success of Korean fermentation process threatens the industry of algae in Taiwan. Human beings has used algae as food for a long time, and owing to the rising fashion of life and health in recent two or three decades. Chlorella and Spirulina, two kinds of algae easy to be developed, come to recevie more attention in researches. However, because tere are numerous kinds of algae that are nutritious and for health, tha point should be whether or not algae can be developed and produced in a steady and massive quantity, This is why Hi-Trust Biotechnology, which dedicates itself to the development of special algae, is founded.
「海信生技」是一間專門進行藻類培養和研發的企業，不同於淡水性的綠藻和螺蜁藻，我們專注於海洋性微細和大型藻類，並將之應用於食品添加、醫藥保健、水產養殖和化妝品等各方面。
台灣地處亞熱帶，擁有充足的陽光，非常適合進行藻類高密度培養。「海信生技」位處台灣最純淨的的後山—花蓮，汲取當地660公尺深的海洋深層水，利用海洋深層水的低溫、純淨及富營養鹽的特性來提升藻類生長的穩定性和品質，再輔以海信生技的專業藻類培養技術，造就了海信生技得天獨厚的優勢。所以「海信生技」是台灣唯一一家，更是世上少數，利用海洋深層水來進行各種大型和微細藻類培養，並具有穩定、高密度藻類量產能力的廠商。
目前，市面上眾所皆知的綠藻和螺旋藻相關商品，會達到商業化規模的原因並非是其內含營養價值高，而是其構造和環境造成的培養容易性。因此，中國內陸大量的培養和韓國發酵槽全程培養的成功，已讓台灣綠藻產業面臨的困境。人類將藻類做為食物已有很長的一段時間，如史前時代人類已採集藍綠藻食用，但近二、三十年人們對於養生保健的重視，使得易培養的綠藻和螺旋藻有較多醫療上的研究。但獨特、營養價值高並具養生保健的藻類甚多、重點在於是否能達到培養穩定、大量且高密度培養的目的，「海信生技」因此應運而生，目的在於進行特殊藻類的培育，以求造福全人類的健康。
