30多年前台灣製的腳踏車因為品質不良在國外頗受屈辱，當時年輕的金屬機械工程師曾鼎煌(Ike Tseng)先生有感於此，於1972創立了美利達公司，專注於高級自行車的研發與生產， 默默的耕耘。

三十多年來，美利達秉持一貫不變的理念和決心，以生產高品質的自行車為永遠的職志，「以誠實穩健，互助熱忱的企業胸懷，創造無限競爭力，回饋企業人群」。
