1
FOLLOW YOUR OWN COURSE
Don’t listen to those who say “It’s not done that way.” Maybe it’s not, but maybe you will.
Don’t listen to those who say “You’re taking too big a chance.” Michelangelo would have painted the Sistine Floor,and it would surely be rubbed out by today.
Most importantly, don’t listen When the little voice of fear inside of your ear its ugly head and says,”They’re all smarter than you out there. They’re more talented,They’re taller, blonder, prettier, luckier and have connections……”I firmly believe that if you follow a path that interests you,Not to the exclusion of love,sensitivity, and cooperation with others,But with the strength of conviction That you can move others by your own efforts,And do not make success or failure the criteria by which you live,The chances are you’ll be a person worthy of your own respect.

WHAT IS SUCCESS
What is success?
To laugh often and love much;
To win the respect of intelligent people
And the affection of children;
孩子們的愛戴;
To earn the approbation(認可,嘉許) of honest critics
And endure the betrayal of false friends;
容忍損友的背叛;
To appreciate beauty;
To find the best in others;
To give oneself;
To leave the world a little better,
Whether by a healthy child,
A garden patch,
Or a redeemed social condition;
亦或是改善社會條件;
To have played and laughed with enthusiasm
And sung with exultation;(大悅,歡欣)
把歡樂的歌唱起來;
To know even one life has breathed easier,
Because you have lived……
This is to have succeeded.

THE ROAD NOT TAKEN
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear***磨損***;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden(踩) black.
Oh,I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood,and I?
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
