　　this morning， over twenty australian middle school students came to our school for a visit. my classmates and i gathered at the school gate at 8：20 and gave them a warm welcome. then i took them to the reception room and we had a get-together there. at ten o'clock， we showed them around our library， our lab and the school factory. at half past eleven， we had lunch with the australian students in the school dining-hall and then gave presents to each other. time passed quickly and soon it was half past one in the afternoon. we had to say good-bye to each other.

　　dear editor，

　　i'm writing to tell you about the discussion we recently had about whether we should know our parents' income.

　　we do have different opinions on this matter. about 70% of the students think we should know our parents' income for the following reasons. first， it will help us understand how hard our parents have to work after we know their income， no matter how much they earn. second， we will study harder and will not waste money any more. furthermore， we may also learn to share our parents' trouble.

　　however， about 30% of my classmates hold the opinion that it is unnecessary to let the children know how much their parents earn. their reasons are as follows. for one thing， if they know their parents have enough money to support the family， they will not study hard. for another， if they do know， they will not worry about the future， especially when they know their parents have a relatively high income， the children will easily form a wasteful habit.

　　Recently，our class have had a discussion about an Eco-travel. Some of my classmates are in favor of going to Red River Village. They say they could swim there and go boating on it. They also say they could learn about the birds by the river. What’s more，by staying at hotels in Red River Village，they can help the villages make money so that they can take care of the river and birds. However，other students are against the idea，they prefer Snow Mountain，saying that they could go hiking and looking at other animals there. They suggest planting trees on the mountains. They also say by going there，they could help the people to keep the mountain clean to take care on the birds on the mountains.

　　篇4：Trees Are Important to Us

　　trees are very useful to people. they provide us with wood and other products. they give us shade and they help to prevent drought and floods.

　　unfortunately， in many parts of our country， people haven't realized the importance of trees. they cut them down at will. they are usually too lazy or too careless to plant and look after new trees. as a result， the forests continue to disappear.

　　where there are no trees the rain falls on the surface， causing floods， and carries away with the rich topsoil， in which crops grow so well. when all the topsoil is gone， nothing remains but worthless deserted.

　　the big floods of 1998， in parts of china， have already taught us a good lesson. so every one of us must love trees， protect forests， and keep on planting trees each year.

　　篇5：Morality and Education

　　It is recognized by everybody that the strength of a country depends upon its education. The higher the education standards, the stronger the country becomes. That is true indeed.

　　But my opinion is that, in order to make a country strong, education alone is not sufficient. It should go side by side with morality.

　　Morality and education are the foundation of a country. The absence of either makes success impossible. Education without morality is dangerous. Morality without education is also harmful. *** 85 words***

　　道德與教育

　　每個人都認識到國力的強大依靠教育。教育水平越高，國家就越強盛，這是千真萬確的。

　　但我的觀點是，為了國家的強盛，單獨的教育是不夠的，教育與道德應雙管齊下，不能偏頗。

　　道德與教育是國家的基石，缺少任何一個，成功都是不可能的。沒有道德的教育是危險的，而沒有教育的道德是有害的。
