給報社寫信的英文範文篇一
Dear editor,
I am writing to inform you of my unhappy experience lately. On June 5th, I went to buy an XXX English Dictionary for Advanced Learners at the YYY Foreign Bookstore. Unfortunately, when I went home, I was astonished to find that several pages were stained, some were folded, and a few more were even missing.
To resolve the problem, I immediately went back to the bookstore and managed to find the same shop assistant, who said she could do nothing about it and asked me to go directly to the manager. I made great efforts to meet the manager in person, only to be told it was not their fault – the publisher was the real party to blame.
Up until now, I have been thinking of this happening. I believe that it is more than necessary for the whole tertiary industry to improve the service quality. Only when the service is performed properly and satisfactorily can the needs of the customers be satisfied and the national economy be put on the right track.
With best regards.
Yours faithfully,
Li Xiaoming
給報社寫信的英文範文篇二
Dear editor,
Some years ago, my hometown used to be a beautiful place. Thick trees and green grass could be seen all over the hills. As time went on, people destroyed almost the whole forest to grow more crops. To make matters worse, people let their cattle eat up the grass. So, you can only see wasteland instead of green forests now. As a result, when it rains, the soil is washed down the hills and into the rivers. Strong winds also blow away the valuable soil that lies on the top of the fields. I do hope all the people will take good care of the forests and plant more trees to improve our living conditions.

給報社寫信的英文範文篇三
Dear Editor,
I’d like to tell you something about the effect of television. I’m sure that this is not the opinion of mine at all. When we open the TV, a lot of violence showings will appear on TV. I think this is not good for children, because many children will copy what they see.
Today, many children were asked to play the roles of advertisements, singing the songs varied from the children’s songs or doing something else. So many viewers, especially children, asked their parents to buy only what they see on TV, such as candies, toys and so on.
Are these helpful for children in the course of their growing? Shouldn’t we, grown-ups, do something against these?
Your reader,
A Worried Mother
