　　小學英語作文：My Life in Winter Holiday

　　I was so busy in the previous winter holiday for I am going to take the university entrance exam in July this year. Everyday, I buried myself in studying. I had to review each required subject and do lots of exercises. Besides, because I did bad in mathematics and physics, I had to do much more exercises than other courses, which made me discouraged. I spent more than ten hours a day in studying. When I was tired, I watched TV or listened to music for a little while. But It was a big pity that I couldn't go to the see cinema. In addition, I had to refuse all the invitations of friends and relatives. I only called them or sent messages in the New Year’s Eve. I desperately hoped that there is no exam but I know it’s impossible. The only thing I can do is to study hard to get good scores and can be admitted to Tsinghua University.

　　上個寒假我很忙，因為今年7月我就要參加高考了。每天我都沉浸在學習當中。我必須複習每個要求的科目還要做很多練習。此外，因為我數學和物理很差，我要做比其他科更多的練習，這使我很喪氣。我每天花超過十個小時學習。當我累的時候，我就看一小會電視或者聽音樂。但是遺憾的是我不能去看電影。另外，我不得不拒絕所有親戚和朋友的邀請。除夕之夜我只能給他們打電話或者發簡訊。我很希望沒有考試，但是我知道這是不可能的。我唯一能做的就是努力學習，取得好成績，錄取清華大學。

　　The Spring Festival is the most important traditional one in China. As an important part of it, fireworks bring us happier atmosphere than usual. This Spring Festival, Dad bought lots of fireworks as last year. On the eve, he lighted them, and then they blossomed like flowers in the sky, with sweet sounds and brilliant light. How beautiful! I was deeply moved, though every Spring Festival I felt it. It brought me the beautiful feelings. At that moment I was buried in the sea of happiness. And also it made me feel more about the prosperity of our homeland.

　　Meanwhile, I was worried about the fireworks. First, setting off firecrackers made a tremendous noise and caused serious air pollution. Also children's safety faced the crisis of getting burned or injured in the eyes. What's worse, many dustmen's valuable time was wasted for fireworks pieces after being set off dirtied the environment.

　　So I thought some day we'll have to forbid making and setting off fireworks, though it's a Chinese custom for hundreds of years.

　　春節是中國最重要的傳統。因為它很重要，煙花給我們帶來比往常更快樂的氣氛。今年春節，爸爸就像去年一樣買了很多煙花。在除夕夜，他點燃了它們，然後它們在天空中就像盛開的花朵伴隨著甜蜜的聲音和耀眼的光芒。好漂亮啊!我深深地被感動了，儘管每年的春節我都是這樣覺得。它給我帶來了美好的感情。在那一刻我感覺我葬在幸福的海洋。它也使我感到了祖國的繁榮。

　　l had just planned what am l going to in my hoilday a few days ago. First, l am going to play with my friends and do homework together, so l won't need to do it all by myself. Then , we will go shopping, eat together, play some games, and so on. But l will do some study, so that l will get more mark for the exam. Of course, I will spend some days to stay with my parents and go out and have lunch with them, because they are my only parents.

　　我剛剛在前幾天裡,計劃了我在假期裡要做什麼.首先，我將會和朋友去玩然後一起做作業，所以我就不用擔心我要自己做完作業。然後，我們一起去買東西，一起吃飯，一起玩些遊戲等等。但是我會學習的，因為我可以在考試中考高點分數。當然，我會花點時間留在父母身邊和他們一起出去玩、吃午飯，因為他們是我的唯一的父母。
