　　New Standard is very popular among students. From this magazine students can learn about the school events, such as school concerts, the English Festival and basketball matches. Also, some students often write articles for it and they have improved their writing. The students’ favorite column is Homework Help because it can help them work out problems on study.

　　I’d like to make two suggestions for the magazine. First, it can start a new column named Environmental Education to introduce knowledge on how to protect the environment. Second, it can become on online magazine to save paper.

　　I hope New Standard will be much more helpful to the students in the future!

　　My middle school life is coming to an end. During the three years, not only did I have happy time, but I had kinds of problems. My biggest problem was from my parents. They wanted me to spend all my time on my lessons. They didn’t allow me to play computer games or have outdoor activities with my friends.

　　I couldn’t stand the strict rules! So I wrote a letter and told my parents I knew it was important to do well in schoolwork. I would make good use of the time and try to do well in schoolwork first. After a long talk with my parents, they agreed that I could have spare time and do something I like.

　　Now I have realized communicating with our parents is a good way to solve our problems.

　　初中生活馬上就要結束了。在這三年的時光裡，既有快樂，又有煩惱。我最大的煩惱來自於我的父母。他們恨不得我把所有的時間都用在功課上，不准我玩電腦遊戲，也不准我和朋友們一起出去玩。

　　我真的受不了這種束縛!所以我給父母寫了一封信，告訴他們我的想法：我知道學校的功課非常重要，我一定把功課放在首位，抓緊時間好好學習。經過與父母的一番長談，他們最終同意給我自由的空間，讓我去做我喜歡做的事情。

　　現在我明白了，與父母進行溝通交流，是解決與父母間的問題的一種很好的方式。
