　　希望與絕望

　　Hope is what keeps life going. Parents always hope their children will do well. Hope makes us dream. Hope builds in patience. Life teaches us not to despair even in the darkest hour, because after every night there is a day. Nothing remains the same we have only one choice keep moving on in life and be hopeful。

　　希望是人生動力之源。父母總是希望自己的孩子能夠做得很好。希望使我們有夢想。希望使我們變得有耐心。人生教會我們即使是在最困難的時候都不要絕望，因為黑暗之後終將是黎明。沒有什麼事一成不變的，我們惟有充滿希望地繼續生活。

　　Life teaches us not to regret over yesterday, for it has passed and is beyond our control. Tomorrow is unknown, for it could either be bright or dull. So the only alternative is work hard today, so that we will enjoy a better tomorrow。

　　人生教會我們不要對過去的事感到後悔，因為過去的終究是過去了並且我們已無法控制。沒人知道明天會是怎樣，因為它可以是光明的同樣也可以是無趣的。所以，唯一的選擇便是在今天努力工作，這樣才能讓我們去享受更美好的明天。

　　The cheerful girl with 1***bouncy golden curls was almost five. Waiting with her mother at the checkout 2***stand, she saw them: a circle of glistening white pearls in a pink 3***foil box. “Oh please, Mommy. Can I have them” Please, mommy, please!”

Your birthday’s only a week away and you might get another 5***crisp dollar bill from Grandma.”

On her birthday, Grandma did give her another new dollar bill and at last she had enough money to buy the necklace.

He had had them all the time. He was just waiting for her to give up the dime-store stuff so he could give her genuine treasure.
