菊花

菊花（拉丁學名：Dendranthema morifolium（Ramat.）Tzvel.），是菊科菊屬的多年生宿根草本植物。 菊花高60-150釐米。菊花葉卵形或披針形，邊緣有粗大鋸齒或深裂,基部楔形，裂片先端圓或鈍；有葉柄。頭狀花序徑2.5-20釐米，單生或數個集生莖枝頂端；外層總苞片綠色。管狀花黃色；舌狀花白、紅、紫或黃色。花期9-11月。雄蕊、雌蕊和果實多不發育。公元八世紀前後，作為觀賞的菊花由中國傳至日本。17世紀末葉，引入歐洲，18世紀傳入法國，19世紀中期引入北美。此後中國菊花遍及全球。用人工雜交育成新品種1000餘個，用分根及嫁接法繁殖。菊花的花是清涼藥，味寒、甘苦、散風清熱，明目平肝。 菊花花語是高潔、隱逸；高貴與長壽。相關作品有明代唐寅的《菊花圖》、清代陳洪綬的《玩菊圖》等。

《菊花》是唐朝元稹所作的一首詩。此詩於公元807年（貞元十二年）作於長安。 《菊花》從詠菊這一平常題材，發掘出不平常的詩意，給人以新的啟發，顯得新穎自然，不落俗套。在寫作上，用語淡雅樸素，饒有趣味。筆法也很巧妙，前兩句寫賞菊的實景，為渲染愛菊的氣氛做鋪墊；第三句是過渡，筆鋒一轉，跌宕有致，最後吟出生花妙句，進一步開拓美的境界，增強了這首小詩的藝術感染力。
