胡椒粉（hú jiāo fěn），亦稱古月粉，由熱帶植物胡椒樹的果實碾壓而成，主要產在印度、越南、印尼、泰國、新加坡等國，中國廣東省、海南島也有生產。 胡椒是海南最著名的特產之一，它既是一種很好的調味品，又是一種珍貴的藥材。胡椒粉可藥、食兩用，中醫學稱胡椒有溫胃散寒之功能。食法主要有直接食用胡椒粉。胡椒粉又是世界上主要調味香料，果實中含有揮發性油1-2%，胡椒鹼8-9%，還含有粗脂肪、蛋白質、澱粉、可溶性氮等物質。胡椒粉含有的特殊成分使胡椒具有特有的芳香味道，還有苦辣味，成為百姓歡迎的具有辣味的調味品。雖然胡椒主要用作調味品，但實際上用途還有很多。如：民間用“胡椒燉豬肚”治療慢性胃腸病。
