行動硬碟（Mobile Hard disk）是以硬碟為儲存介質，計算機之間交換大容量資料，強調便攜性的儲存產品。 行動硬碟由碟片、主軸、磁頭、音圈馬達組成，行動硬碟原是用於膝上型電腦的專用小型硬碟，由於其輕便、易於攜帶的特色，也用於不同電腦之間傳送檔案行動硬碟多采用USB、IEEE1394等傳輸速度較快的介面，可以較高的速度與系統進行資料傳輸。因為物理上以標準硬碟或微硬碟作為儲存介質，行動硬碟在資料的讀寫模式與標準IDE硬碟是相同的。
