兵馬俑（the Terracotta Army），即秦始皇兵馬俑，亦簡稱秦兵馬俑或秦俑，是古代墓葬雕塑的一個類別，位於今陝西省西安市臨潼區秦始皇陵以東1.5千米處的兵馬俑坑內，是第一批全國重點文物保護單位、第一批中國世界遺產，被譽為“世界第八大奇蹟”。 兵馬俑是製成兵馬（戰車、戰馬、士兵）形狀的殉葬品，是世界十大古墓稀世珍寶之一，曾被列入《世界遺產名錄》。 2023年1月12日，陝西省文物局釋出了2022年度陝西重要考古發現，其中秦始皇帝陵兵馬俑考古發掘又有新收穫，考古工作者對陵園外圍的大型陪葬坑——一號坑進行了持續十餘年的第三次考古發掘，新發現陶俑220餘件，並初步釐清軍陣的排列規律，還明確了秦陵陶俑的製作程式。 秦兵馬俑多用陶冶燒製的方法制成，先用陶模做出初胎，再覆蓋一層細泥進行加工刻劃加彩，有的先燒後接，有的先接再燒。
