十二星座來源 有據可查的星座起源於古巴比倫，巴比倫人在公元前1000年前後已提出30個星座。 兩河流域文化（古巴比倫一帶）傳到希臘以後，古希臘天文學家對巴比倫的星座進行了補充和發展，編制出了古希臘星座表。古希臘天文學家托勒玫綜合了當時的天文成就編制了48個星座。 中世紀以後，歐洲資本主義興起，需要向外擴張，航海事業得到了很大的發展。船舶在大海上航行，隨時需要導航，星星就是最好的指路燈。而在星星中，星座的形狀比較特殊，最容易觀測，因此，星座受到了普遍關注。16實際麥哲倫環球航行時，不僅利用星座導航定向，而且還對星座進行了研究。 1922年，國際天文學聯合會大會決定將天空劃分為88個星座，其名稱基本依照歷史上的名稱。1928年，國際天文聯合會正式公佈了88個星座的名稱。這88個星座分成3個天區，北半球29個，南半球47個，黃道附近12個。 而我們平時所講的星座也就是黃道上的12星座。它們各有關於自己的一些神話傳說。 古代為了要方便在航海時辨別方位與觀測天象，於是將散佈在天上的星星運用想像力把它們連結起來，有一半是在古時候就已命名了，其命名的方式有依照古文明的神話與形狀的附會（包含了美索不達米亞、巴比倫、埃及、希臘的神話與史詩）。另一半（大部是在南半球的夜空中）是近代才命名，經常用航海的儀器來命名。 在古代因地域的不同，所以看星空的方式也就不一樣！現在全世界已經統一依據星座圖將天空劃分為八十八區域八十八個星座。 我們一般談論的“星座”(Sign)，指的是“太陽星座”（Sunsign）；即以地球上的人為中心，同時間看到太陽執行到軌道（希臘文Zodiac：即動物繞成的圈圈，又稱“黃道”）上哪一個星座的位置，就說那個人是什麼星座。 二千多年前希臘的天文學家希巴克斯（Hipparchus，西元前190～120年）為標示太陽在黃道上執行的位置，就將黃道帶分成十二個區段，以春分點為0°，自春分點（即黃道零度）算起，每隔30°為一宮，並以當時各宮內所包含的主要星座來命名，依次為白羊、金牛、雙子、巨蟹、獅子、處女、天秤、天蠍、射手、摩羯、水瓶、雙魚等宮，稱之為黃道十二宮，總計為十二個星群。在地球運轉到每個等份（星群）時所出生的嬰兒，長大後總有若干相似的特徵，包括行為特質、性格特徵等。將這些聯想（豐富的想像和創造力）串聯起來，便使這些星群人性的具體化了；又加入神話的色彩，成為文化（主要指希臘和羅馬神話）的重要部份。 這套命理演進、流傳至今至少五千年的歷史，它們以這十二個星座為代表。但這些星座並非是某一個“星星”的意思，只能視為“名稱相同的一種代表標記而已”。 十二星座天文知識 各星座天文名（黃道十二宮篇）[按拉丁文名首字母順序排列] 宮數 拉丁文名 英文名 中文名 11 Aquarius The Water Carrier 寶瓶 1 Aries The Ram 白羊 4 Cancer The Crab 巨蟹 10 Capricornus The Sea Goat 摩羯 3 Gemini The Twins 雙子 5 Leo The Lion 獅子 7 Libra The Scales 天秤 12 Pisces The Fishes 雙魚 9 Sagittarius The Archer 人馬 8 Scorpius The Scorpion 天蠍 2 Taurus The Bull 金牛 6 Virgo The Virgin 室女
