　　201X年X月X日 晴天

　　There are two dormitories***宿舍*** for our class’s boys. I live in 2110.We seven boys share the dormitory 2110. Every morning we get up at 6 o’clock. Sometimes one or two boys may wake up a little later. After washing, we go to the playground to do morning exercise.

　　At night, after the self-teaching classes, we go back to the dormitory. Some roommates enjoy singing loudly before the lights go out, some enjoy sharing their snacks and drinks with others, some go to bed early, and others read books or listen to the pop music late. We often tell jokes in the dormitory. The room is always full of cheers and laughter.

　　On the evening of Oct.18th, the Chinese national football team got their place in the World Cup. It’s the first time for our Chinese team. The Chinese people have dreamed of it for 44 years. Though the light was out we jumped up and down and shouted: “We are the winner! We are the winner!” At the very moment, “Bang! Bang! Bang!” We heard the noises of knocking at the door and a teacher shouted:“Don’t be so excited. Go to sleep now.” So we dared not make any noise. We even smiled in our dreams that night.

　　Someone often asks me, “What’s your hobby? Do you like collecting stamps?”In fact, I’m fond of fishing, collecting stamps, and playing basketball. But I spend most of my spare time collecting foreign coins. Maybe collecting foreign coins is my real hobby.

　　I still remember my first foreign coin is a Dutch guilder***荷蘭盾***. I was fascinated***入迷的*** by the strange coin that I had never seen. From then on, I lost myself in collecting foreign coins. I have some nice coins, most of which have the head of a famous person on one side. On the other side there may be a famous emblematic***象徵性的*** building of the country or the date and the value of the coin.

　　Most foreign coins are circular***圓形的***, but some have different shapes. For example, the coins of Hong Kong are different from those of other countries. They are just like beautiful Chinese redbud***紫荊花***. When I first saw them, I even thought maybe they’re souvenir coins***紀念幣***, but when I watched them carefully, I found that they are coins.

　　Coins can be made of different kinds of metal. Some are made of nickel***鎳***, and some are made of different metal mixture.

　　Now I have a lot of coins from different countries: U.S. dollar, German mark, Singapore dollar, Thai baht***泰銖*** -and so on. I think I will go on collecting foreign coins, because it makes me happy every day.

　　Martin Luther King, who is known to the world as the ambassador of peace, has been remembered all the time, though he has died for a few decades. I have learned an artcile about him lately, his great speech I Have a Dream impressed me so much. Martin described his great wish of all the people could be treated equal, no matter what color they were. He appealled people to join his team and made the world a peaceful place. His speech inspired so many people at that time and still affects the world today. There is no doubt that Martin is a great person, what he brings to the world will never fade away.
