During the Spring and Autumn Period ***春秋時期,770-476 BC***, there lived a man named Hei Gung, who worked for the government of the kingdom of Ju. Hei Gung once secretly gave apiece of Ju's territory to the kingdom of Lu, in the hopes that Lu would take him in.

東漢時候,有個叫孔融的人。他小時候很聰明,有五個哥哥,一個弟弟。
One day his father bought some pears, picking one of the largest and giving it to Kong Rongdeliberately. But Kong Rong shook his head and picked up the smallest one.
一天爸爸買了一些梨子,特意撿了一個最大的給孔融,孔融卻搖頭不要,拿了一個最小的梨。
His dad was very curious, and asked: “Why?”
