　　一、英語幽默故事

　　My friend Gilbert and some other truck drivers were to deliver loads of gravel out in the country. The directions they were given said to go down a certain road and, when they came to a cow tied to a fence post, to turn right.

　　我朋友吉爾波特和一些卡車司機到農村去送沙石。他們得到的地址只說沿著某條路一直走，當看到一頭牛拴在蒸笆柱上時，就向右轉。

　　While Gilbert was driving along slowly，he came upon a farmer leading a cow down the road. Assuming this was his landmark, he stopped and asked the man where his cow had been tied. After Gilbert explained why he wanted to know， the farmer took the cow back and tied it to the post. All the loads got delivered.

　　Hello, my dear friends! What’s my favourite season? Let me tell you.My favourite season is spring. Spring is a lovely season, I think. There is a garden behind my house. In spring, the trees become green and the flowers give off fragrance. There are many butterflies and bees over the flowers. The butterflies are dancing and the bees are singing. Sometimes it rains. It usually rains quietly. The rain moistens the trees and the flowers. I think they may say, “We’re very thirsty. The rain is very good. It can help us.” What a beautiful scene! Don’t you think so? 　　三、關於早餐About Breakfast

　　Breakfast is important. But not all the students have realized its important. Here’s the result of our survey. About 55 percent of the students have breakfast regularly every day. They keep healthy and look active. 25 percent of them just have junk food instead. They don’t have a balanced diet. It is bad for their health. 20 percent of the students go to school without breakfast. As a result, these students often fell hungry in class and can’t listen to teachers carefully. What’s worse, they get ill easily.

　　It’s important for us to have breakfast and we should also have the right kinds of food for breakfast.

　　早餐是很重要的。但並不是所有的學生都意識到它的重要。這是我們調查的結果。大約55%的學生每天按時吃早餐。他們保持健康和活躍。25%的人只吃一次垃圾食品。他們沒有均衡的飲食。它對他們的健康有害。20%學生不吃早飯就去上學。因此,這些學生在課堂上往往下降餓,不能聽老師仔細。更糟的是,他們很容易生病。
