　　Tom：

　　Would you like to come to our factory for a visit?

　　You can look around our new workshops and the automatic machines.

　　重點講解 “pick up”既可以指“取物”，也可以指“接人”。

　　eg. Did you pick the washing up from the laundry? 你把洗乾淨的衣服從洗衣房取回來了嗎?

　　People usually stop and pick up a hitchhiker. 人們通常會停下來讓搭車者上車。

　　A: Well, not fully automated.

　　B: I see. How do you control the quality?

　　A: All products have to go through five checks in the whole manufacturing process.

　　B: What’s the monthly output?

　　A: One thousand units per month now. But we’ll be making 1,200 units beginning with October.

　　B: What’s your usual percentage of rejects?

　　A: About 2% in normal operations.

　　B: That’s wonderful. Is that where the finished products come off?

　　A: Yes. Shall we take a break now?
