　　清乾隆年間自稱“萬樹梅花一布衣”的寒士孫髯翁所撰180字長聯，一掃世人俗唱，蘊涵了深厚的社會歷史內容，驚動一時。今存大觀樓長聯有兩幅。一幅是與孫髯翁同時的昆明名士陸樹堂用行書體書寫刊刻，掛在大觀樓二樓。另一幅則是清光緒十四年1888年，由雲貴總督岑毓英託趙藩書寫，請工匠刊刻後掛於樓下，即今藍底金字聯，長聯絡木製，為覆瓦形。上下聯各90字，字系顏體楷書，剛勁圓潤，頗具功力。長聯曰：
