玫瑰（拉丁學名：Rosa rugosaThunb.），俗名為濱茄子、濱梨，是薔薇目薔薇科落葉灌木。 玫瑰枝杆多針刺，奇數羽狀複葉，橢圓形；枝條較為柔弱軟垂且多密刺，每年花期只有一次；莖粗壯，叢生。花瓣倒卵形，重瓣至半重瓣，花有紫紅色、白色，果期8-9月，扁球形。喜陽光充足，耐寒、耐旱，喜排水良好、疏鬆肥沃的壤土或輕壤土；宜栽植在通風良好、離牆壁較遠的地方。原產於中國華北、日本和朝鮮。玫瑰作為經濟作物時，其花朵主要用於食品及提煉香精玫瑰油，乾製後可以泡茶，花蕾入藥治肝、胃氣痛、胸腹脹滿和月經不調。 玫瑰的主要作品有楊萬里《紅玫瑰》“非關月季姓名同，不與薔薇譜諜通。接葉連枝千萬綠，一花兩色淺深紅。風流各自燕支格，雨露何私造化功。別有國香收不得，詩人燻入水沉中。”
