麒麟，中國古代神話傳說中用以象徵祥瑞的神獸。形狀像鹿，頭上有角，全身有鱗甲，尾像牛尾。古人以為仁獸、瑞獸。公獸為麒，母獸為麟。是建馬的後代，其祖先為應龍。
