扇貝

扇貝（英文名：Scallop），屬軟體動物門扇貝科。 扇貝貝殼較大，近圓形、背緣直、殼頂近背緣中部。貝殼表面常有各種形狀的放射肋，肋上具有鱗片或小棘。貝殼內面色淺而略具光澤，常有與殼表對應的內肋；內韌帶褐色，位於三角形的韌帶槽中。外套緣厚，有發達的外套眼和觸手，無水管。通常生活在潮下帶至百米左右的淺海區，但也少數種（擬日月貝亞科）生活在較深的海底。屬濾食性動物，被動攝食，主要以浮游生物、細菌和有機碎屑為食。扇貝的游泳方式是用其上下兩邊的貝殼，透過貝殼的一開一合產生動力，噴出水流，之後用其反作用力推動自身前行。
