海峽，地理名詞，通常位於兩個大陸或大陸與鄰近的沿岸島嶼以及島嶼與島嶼之間。分為內海海峽、領海海峽、非領海海峽。 海峽由海水透過地峽的裂縫經長期侵蝕，或海水淹沒下沉的陸地低凹處而形成的。一般水較深，水流較急且多渦流。底質多為堅硬的岩石或沙礫，細小的沉積物較少。

《海峽》是由森谷司郎執導，高倉健、吉永小百合、三浦友和等主演， 講述了一起轟動全國的海難讓阿久津決心儘快建成海底隧道，經過數年的努力奮鬥，日本最長的隧道青函隧道終於開鑿成功，於1982年10月16日在日本上映。1983年，Kenichi Benitani憑藉該片獲得第6屆日本電影學院獎最佳錄音獎 。
