你想打板球，首先要決定自己的球員類型：投球手(bowler)、全能手(All-rounder)還是擊球手(Batsman)

投球手(Bowler)一般比較靠後出場，在世界大賽當中上場機率自然小，因為靠前出場的擊球手會全能手可以 完成擊球局(Batting Inning)

全能手(All-rounder)顧名思義，就是投球擊球都擅長。

擊球手在比賽中的任務自然就只有擊球(Batting)和站位(Fielding).

護具(Guards)指的是擊球手(Batsman)和護樁手(Wicket-keeper)所用的器具，如果沒有特殊需要，投球手在投球時用不到，站位者(Fielders，指在我方投球局(Bowling Inning)當中的隊員)也不需要。

簡短的來說，你如果要打板球，先專注擊球，需要的護具是頭盔(Helmet)、手套(Gloves)、護胸(Chest guard)、護臂(Arm guard)、下身罩(Ball guard)、大腿罩(Thigh guard)、小腿罩(Pads)。這是最全的也是最安全的組合，不過極大程度上限制你的移動。如果技術較好，請選擇頭盔(helmet)手套(gloves)下身罩(Ball guard)、小腿罩(Pads)就好了。

我不贊同樓上的說法，頭盔除非對方的投球手是專門投旋轉球(spinner)的人，不然必須要帶，如果對方來一個無效球(No ball)或者彈地球(Bouncer)打到腦袋就是人命關天的事。
