什麼是簡單複雜句？

.簡單句構成：主語+謂語+……

簡單句不是看長短來劃分，而是看結構，大部分句子都是簡單句，雖然有的灰常長。

簡單句只有一個主語，一個謂語，這兩者是關鍵其他成分暫不考慮。

比如：I clean.

I clean my house.

I want to clean my old house thoroughly to make it smell better at this weekend.

最後一個句子雖然看似複雜卻仍然是簡單句，因為結構簡單，一個主語I，一個謂語want

另外要注意的是，動詞有賓語和沒有賓語時意思會有很大不同，第一句話I clean既可以理解為我做清潔，也可以理解為我殺人（清理人），這就要看語境的不同了，所以一句話的動詞後要儘量講清楚具體動作的對象，否則很容易產生歧義。

特殊情況，有時一個簡單句也可以有好幾個動詞作謂語，多用來表示一連串的動作

比如：He sat there, stood up, walked up and down, and then made the decision.

這一連串的平行結構中，最後兩個要用and連接起來

還比如：It looks delicate, elegant and wonderful.

I like apples, bananas, oranges and grapes.

.複雜句構成：當一個簡單句裡嵌套了從句時，就變成了複雜句，從句可以是賓語從句，定語從句，狀語從句等等。

比如：My parents told me that i should be a good girl. (賓語從句)

This is what i want to say. (表語從句)

Looking into his eyes, she could not help bursting into tears. (狀語從句)

A friend is the person who you can trust. (定語從句)

從句其實就是當一個詞說不清楚或沒有一個合適的詞表達時編出來救場的一組詞。在功能上完全可以和單個詞對等，所以在分析一個句子的主幹結構時，通常將從句作為一個整體。

比如：最後一個例子的主幹就是a friend is the person. 不過要說明是怎樣的person，所以增加一個定語從句來進行補充。這句話也可以寫成：a friend is a trustworthy person.此時，trustworthy就代替了who you can trust，作為person的定語，其實二者的功能相同。只不過單個詞比較簡短，所以放在名詞前，也符合人們的語言習慣，而句子如果也放在名詞前就會顯得句子結構頭重腳輕不平衡。

I. 簡單句（Simple sentence）主語+謂語+賓語

I love my Mom.

I go to school everyday.

II. 複合句（ Compound Sentence）

Beijing is in the North and Nanjing is in the South.

(特點：When two independent clauses, or complete sentences are joined together, they form one compound sentence.

複合句是由兩個獨立的句子組合在一起構成的。例句中，有下面兩個完整並且獨立的句子組成：

Beijing is in the North.

Nanjing is in the South.

III. 複雜句（Complex Sentence）

My uncle, who is seventy years old, works on a farm.

(特點：When an independent clause and a dependent clause are joined together; they form one complex sentence.

複雜句是由一個獨立的句子加一個從句構成的。)

China is a country that its history is very long.

China is a country. (獨立句子)

That its history is very long (從句)

IV. 複雜句+複合句（Compound sentence+ Complex sentence）

Studying English is important because a lot of jobs need

people know English; moreover, learning English helps

people understand other country’s culture.

整體看，這是一個由 moreover 連接的複合句，前後兩句都在談論學英語的重要性， 兩個獨立完整的句子。但第一句話中又包含了一個由because 引導的從句。
