舌頭

舌（tongue）是口腔底部向口腔內突起的器官，人類的舌還是語言的重要器官。舌由骨骼肌組成，幫助品嚐、咀嚼、吞嚥食物，也是幫助發聲的器官之一。舌是味覺器官之一，能辨別酸、甜、苦、鹹、鮮味，舌表面的大部分是味蕾。舌尖兩側對甜、鹹敏感，舌頭中部周圍對辣味敏感，舌頭兩側對酸最敏感，舌根對苦最敏感。人類全身上下，最強韌有力的肌肉就是舌頭。無脊椎動物就已出現舌的結構。
