對比

對比，是把具有明顯差異、矛盾和對立的雙方安排在一起，進行對照比較的表現手法。對比是把對立的意思或事物、或把事物的兩個方面放在一起作比較，讓讀者在比較中分清好壞、辨別是非。寫作中的對比手法，就是把事物、現象和過程中矛盾的雙方，安置在一定條件下，使之集中在一個完整的藝術統一體中，形成相輔相成的比照和呼應關係。運用這種手法，有利於充分顯示事物的矛盾，突出被表現事物的本質特徵，加強文章的藝術效果和感染力。

對比

對比（contrast，correlation）亦稱相關。對具有變動的地球上的地層，根據岩石的性質、地層的層疊關係、橫的連續性、標準化石、生物群、地形的特徵等來確定其同期性及上下層的關係，稱此為相關。源於史密斯（W．Smith，1769-1839）。
