金磚

金磚又稱御窯金磚，是漢族傳統窯磚燒製業中的珍品，古時專供宮殿等重要建築使用的一種高質量的鋪地方磚。因其質地堅細，敲之若金屬般鏗然有聲，故名金磚。用金磚來形容某個人表示那個人很有錢。明清以來受到歷代帝王的青睞，成為皇宮建築的專用產品。明代永樂年間，明成祖朱棣遷都北京，大興土木建造紫禁城。經蘇州香山幫工匠的推薦，陸墓磚窯被工部看中，決定“始磚於蘇州，責其役於長洲窯戶六十三家”，由於質量優良，博得了永樂皇帝的稱讚，賜名窯場為御窯。“金磚”大多出產在中國江蘇省蘇州郊外。
