測距儀，是指一種測定飛機和地面應答臺之間斜距的無線電導航裝置。它由機載詢問機和地面應答臺組成。利用測定電波從飛機到電臺之間往返所需時間來決定兩者之間距離的方法。航空上採用1000MHz附近的脈衝波詢問和回答，其作用距離約500km，供航路上使用。此外，為了進近著陸時和微波著陸系統配合，又發展了精密測距儀，利用上升速率更快的脈衝前沿的波形，提高精度，其作用距離約40km。兩種測距儀的工作頻率相同，可以相容工作。
