　　版本1

　　A shepherd-boy, who watched a flock of sheep near a village, brought out the villagers three or four times by crying out, "Wolf! Wolf!" and when his neighbors came to help him, laughed at them for their pains.

　　一個牧童，在一個村子的邊上放羊，他三番四次地喊“狼來了”，村民聽到後都跑出來幫他，但其實狼並沒有來，牧童只是拿他們來開玩笑。

　　The Wolf, however, did truly come at last. The Shepherd-boy, now really alarmed, shouted in an agony of terror: "Pray, do come and help me; the Wolf is killing the sheep"; but no one paid any heed to his cries, nor rendered any assistance. The Wolf, having no cause of fear, at his leisure lacerated or destroyed the whole flock.

　　不過，狼，最後真的來了。這時，牧童真的著急了，他非常害怕地叫喊：“求求你們了，過來幫幫我吧，狼正在吃羊了”，但沒有人理他，更沒有人來幫他。結果，那隻狼肆無忌憚對羊群大開殺戒，羊群一下子就全毀了。

　　Wolf Is Coming

　　There is a naughty boy in a village. He likes telling lies. One day he wants to make fun of the farmers. So he shouts, "Wolf! Wolf! Wolf is coming!" The kind farmers are working in the field. They hear the shout, and hurry to help the boy. But when get there, the boy says: "There isn't a wolf. I'm joking. The farers are angry and go back to their field. After a while the biy shouts again, "Wolf! Wolf! Wolf is coming!" And the farmers come and are cheated again. The boy laughs and laughs. They say, "You tell lies. We will not believe you."

　　Later a wolf really comes. The boy is very scared. "Wolf! Wolf! Wolf is coming!" the boy shouts and shouts. "Help! Help!" But no one comes. And wolf eats the naughty boy.

　　Long long ago, there was a shepherd boy who grazed sheep on a hill everyday.

　　One day the boy felt a little lonely and wanted to make fun of the farmerslaboring at the foot of the hill. So he climbed up a big stone, and shouted: "wolves have come! wolves have come!" In a minute, the farmers came only to find there were no wolves at all. Seeing the farmers were taken in, the boy laughed and said, ‘I am just joking, Don't take it seriously.’ Then the farmers shook their head and left.A few days later, the farmers heard the boy shout again. So they ran up the hill and found that they were cheated again. Another day, several wolves really came. The boy was frightened and cried out: ‘ help! Wolves have come!”

　　But this time, no one came.

　　從前，有個放羊娃，每天都去山上放羊。

　　一天，他覺得十分無聊，就想了個捉弄大家尋開心的主意。他向著山下正在種田的農夫們大聲喊：“狼來了!狼來了!救命啊!”農夫們聽到喊聲急忙拿著鋤頭和鐮刀往山上跑，他們邊跑邊喊：“不要怕，孩子，我們來幫你打惡狼!”

　　農夫們氣喘吁吁地趕到山上一看，連狼的影子也沒有!放羊娃哈哈大笑：“真有意思，你們上當了!”農夫們生氣地走了。

　　第二天，放羊娃故伎重演，善良的農夫們又衝上來幫他打狼，可還是沒有見到狼的影子。放羊娃笑得直不起腰：“哈哈!你們又上當了!哈哈!”

　　大夥兒對放羊娃一而再再而三地說謊十分生氣，從此再也不相信他的話了。

　　過了幾天，狼真的來了，一下子闖進了羊群。放羊娃害怕極了，拼命地向農夫們喊：“狼來了!狼來了!快救命呀!狼真的來了!”

　　農夫們聽到他的喊聲，以為他又在說謊，大家都不理睬他，沒有人去幫他，結果放羊娃的許多羊都被狼咬死了。
