　　孔融讓梨

　　In the Eastern Han Dynasty,there was a person called Kong Rong.He was very smart ever since he was a little boy.He had five older brothers and one younger brother.

　　東漢時候,有個叫孔融的人.他小時候很聰明,有五個哥哥,一個弟弟.

　　One day his father bought some pears,picking one of the largest and giving it to Kong Rong deliberately.But Kong Rong shook his head and picked up the smallest one.

　　一天爸爸買了一些梨子,特意撿了一個最大的給孔融,孔融卻搖頭不要,拿了一個最小的梨.

　　His dad was very curious,and asked:“Why?”

　　爸爸很好奇,就問：“為什麼呢?”

　　Kong Rong said:“I am younger,so I should eat the smaller pear,and brothers should eat the bigger ones.”

　　孔融說：“我年紀小,我吃小梨,大的給哥哥吃.”

　　His dad was very glad after hearing his words,but asked further:“What about your younger brother who is younger than you are?”

　　爸爸聽後很高興,又問：“那弟弟比你還小呀?”

　　Kong Rong said:“I am older than him,so I should leave the bigger one to my little brother.”

　　孔融說：“我比弟弟大,我是哥哥,我應該把大的留給小弟弟吃.”

　　Later,Kong Rong became a great scholar.

　　後來,孔融成為了一個很有學問的人.

　　孔融小時候家裡有五個哥哥，一個弟弟。有一天，家裡吃梨。一盤梨子放在大家面前，哥哥讓弟弟先拿。你猜，孔融拿了一個什麼樣的梨?他不挑好的，不揀大的，只拿了一個最小的。爸爸看見了，心裡很高興：別看這孩子才四歲，還真懂事哩。就故意問孔融：“這麼多的梨，又讓你先拿，你為什麼不拿大的，只拿一個最小的呢?”

　　Kong Rong replied: "I am young, should take a minimum; big left to his brother to eat."

　　孔融回答說：“我年紀小，應該拿個最小的;大的留給哥哥吃。”

　　The father asked him: "you have a brother, the younger brother is not even smaller than you?"

　　父親又問他：“你還有個弟弟哩，弟弟不是比你還要小嗎?”

　　Kong Rong said: "I am older than my brother, I am a brother, I should leave the big brother to eat."

　　孔融說：“我比弟弟大，我是哥哥，我應該把大的留給弟弟吃。”

　　You see, Kong Rong speaks well. His father listened, laughed: "good boy, good boy, really a good boy."
