　　推薦信的基本構成要素除信頭學校信紙的信頭或推薦人住址、發信日期、收信人姓名、地址、稱呼、信尾謙稱、親筆簽名、推薦人姓名、職務等必要部份外，本文內容應包含下列各項：

　　被推薦者全名：不可全文中都只寫 mr. huang 或 miss wu，需明確寫出被推薦者的全名至少一次。英文名字拼法需與其他檔案相同。

　　與申請人之關係：師生關係，工作主管等。

　　特殊才能：特殊之語言、藝術、體育、技藝等才能的表現。不會因此缺點而被拒的缺點。

　　一封完整的推薦信主要包含以下內容：

　　你是誰?你與申請者是什麼關係?申請者有什麼技能及優點等，此外還要留下你的聯絡方式，以便對方進行了解核實。

　　下面我們來詳細的介紹下英文推薦信的格式，來幫助教師和教授寫好一封英文推薦信。

　　假如你的英文推薦信是要寫給申請院校的某位教授，那麼首先要加上稱呼，比如“Dear Mr.Smith”、 “dear ms. Li”等。

　　英文推薦信的首段應該說明你和申請者的關係，包括你是如何認識他她的、你和他她的關係如何以及你的職務等。
