　　有個人在集市上買了一口鍋和一個鍋蓋，它們被一同放進廚房裡。

　　不一會主人點著了火，用鍋燒上了水。

　　主人走了之後，鍋自傲地說：“我結實厚道，不管是煎炒烹炸還是蒸煮都難不倒我，就看我現在燒著的水，在我肚子裡滾來滾去，我一點都不擔心水會在我肚子裡跑出來。反而你鍋蓋，你能做什麼?主人把你同我一起買回來，真不是明智之舉。”鍋說完賣了地滾動著肚子裡的熱水，像是對鍋蓋發出諷刺地笑聲。

　　還沒等鍋蓋說話，主人突然來了，他瞧了一眼鍋，拿起鍋蓋一下子蓋住了鍋，鍋的氣焰一下沒了。
