　　 牛和狗

　　An ox and a dog serve for the same farmer. One day the dog arrogantly1 says: "How grand I am! In the daytime, I watch out for the cattle in the meadows; at night, I guard the house. But you…"

　　"Me? How about me ?" the ox says

　　"You can only plough or draw a cart," the dog slightly says. "Yes. It's true," the ox says. "But if I don't plough, what do you guard?"

　　一頭牛和一隻狗同時為一個農夫工作。狗驕傲地說著“我是多麼重要啊白天我在牧場看護家群晚上我看家。而你呢…..?”

　　“我我怎麼啦”

　　牛反問。“你只會犁地或是拉扯。”狗不懈地說。“是的。你說得沒有錯”牛回答道。“但是如果沒有我犁地你看護什麼呢”

　　 聰明的熊貓

　　A little panda picks up a pumpkin1 and wants to take it home. But the pumpkin is too big. The panda can't take it home.

　　Suddenly she sees a bear riding a bike toward2 her. She watches the bike. "I know! I have a good idea." she jumps and shouts happily, "I can roll a pumpkin. It's like a wheel."

　　So she rolls the pumpkin to her home. When her mother sees the big pumpkin, she is surprised, "Oh, my God! How can you carry it home?" the little panda answers proudly, "I can't lift it, but I can roll it." Her mother smiled and says, "What a clever girl! Use you heard to do something,"

　　一隻小熊貓摘了一隻大南瓜想把它拿回家。但是這隻南瓜太大了她沒有辦法把這麼大的南瓜帶回家。

　　突然她看見一隻狗熊騎著一輛自行車朝她這邊來。她看著自行車跳著說“有了我有辦法了。我可以把南瓜滾回家去。南瓜好像車輪。

　　於是她把那瓜滾回家。當她媽媽看到這隻大南瓜的時候很驚訝“天啊這麼食的南瓜你是怎麼把它帶回家來的”小熊貓自豪地說“我拎不動它可是我能滾動它啊”她媽媽微笑著說“真聰明啊記住只要你肯動腦筋沒有難辦的事。

　　 符艾相爭

　　One day, the peachwood charm against evil hung on the door turned its face upward to curse the figure made of Chinese mugwort: "Who do you think you are to dare to set yourself over my head?"

　　The figure of Chinese mugwort, unwilling1 to be outdone, looked down and retorted: "It is summer now. You have only half a year to go, and can't live long. Why squabble over who is higher or who is lower?"

　　The peachwood charm was beside itself with rage, and answered back sarcastically2. Both sides refused to give in, and squabbled endlessly with a stream of abuse against each other.

　　At this moment, the deity3 of the door came to mediate4: "It is only because we have no ability that we have to attach ourselves to the door of others. What's the point of quarrelling with each other?"

　　一天掛在門上的桃符仰起了臉大罵艾草人“你這個艾草人算什麼東西膽敢高踞在我的頭上”

　　艾草人不甘示弱低頭還嘴說道“現在已經是夏天了你只有半年了活不了多長時間了還爭什麼高低呢”

　　桃符怒不可遏反脣相譏。它們互相不服氣彼此罵不絕口爭吵不休。

　　這時候門神出來勸解說“我們都是因為沒有什麼本事才依附在別人的門下還爭什麼強鬥什麼氣呢”
