Many people sell out their old houses and move into new flats.

　　In some ways, the development has brought some good things, but it has also causes much environment pollution. I think we should take action to reduce the pollution.

　　Thomas Edison

　　Born in America, Thomas Edison was a great scientist and inventor. He was once thought to be a boy who was not worth educating. In fact, he was a man full of imagination.

　　I admire Edison a lot because of his great contribution to the world. He had more than 1,000 inventions. In his lifetime, he was always eager to know how things worked, which helped him to earn the nickname the Wizard of Melo Park .He was also so diligent that he worked day and night. And this explained why he had so many great inventions.

　　What impresses me most is his famous saying, Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration. Probably I cannot be an Edison myself, but I can be a hard-working learner. From him, I realize the secret to success is not when or where you were born, but what you are doing and how you do it in your life.

　　Language is essential; language is what we use to communicate among others. it is something that joins us just as strongly as it separates us. There are many different languages in the world but really they are all bound by certain rules, they all have a format that they follow, all of them have nouns, verbs, tenses, and adjectives.

　　Language is almost like a math, the point of it is that when you speak, you try to reach a conclusion with a different person, and in math you use equations to solve problems and reach conclusions, one is numbers the other is words.

　　Should students make friends on line ?Some people say yes .The internet helps make many friends .Chatting on line ,students can more freely express their feelings and opinions ,and even get help with their foreign language studies .

　　Others ,however, think students should not .They say making friends on line is a waste of time ,which should be spent more meaningfully on study .Besides ,some students get cheated on line.

　　It is my opinion that students should place their study ,health and safety before other things .As for friendship ,we can readily find it in our classmates and other people around us.

　　I always think there is not enough time. For example， I have just taken a three-day holiday. But when I look back， I just feel that it s only one day. There goes a proverb， Time is money 。 Now I want to say， time is more precious than money， because when money is spent， we can earn some more again. However， when time is gone or lost， never will it return.

　　Time goes without being noticed. The time for our study and work is usually limited. So I think we must make full use of our time. But it s a pity that I am always not aware of the importance of time until it s too late.

　　So I think， I should get into the good habit of saving time because wasting time is equal to wasting one s life. Do not put off what can be done today till tomorrow!
