對全文的巨集觀把握
學生應把改錯內容當作一篇小短文來理解,這樣能對短文有個巨集觀把握,對上下文有全面的瞭解,在理解篇章的基礎上逐句審讀,分析判斷,上下兼顧,把明顯的、拿的準的題先做完,這樣可以縮小包圍圈,也有助於對全文的進一步理解。
1.句中各部分的結構是否完整,特別是每個句子要有動詞;
2.謂語動詞的時態、語態;
3.非謂語動詞的用法;
4.名詞的單、複數,格的使用是否正確;
5.定冠詞和不定冠詞是否正確;
6.代詞的格和性的使用是否有誤;
7.定語從句中關係代詞、副詞是否準確無誤;
8.並列句中的並列連詞、主從複合句中的從屬連詞用的是否得當。
短文改錯的複習重點
1.考生必須熟悉設錯方式:多詞、少詞、錯詞。
2.多詞現象大多出現在冠詞、介詞、助動詞、連詞、語義重複及行文邏輯等方面。
3.少詞現象主要出現在冠詞、介詞、副詞、助動詞、不定式符號to、連詞等。
4.錯詞現象主要在冠詞、介詞、名詞單複數、動詞時態、非謂語動詞、主謂一致、代詞、連詞、詞形。
5.考生平時應加強基本功訓練,用一個“錯題集”本把自己或同學在書面表達中出現的錯誤歸納一下,以便考前複習。

高考短文從語法角度審題
1.檢視時態是否一致
My favorite sport is football. I was a member of our football team. ***NMET’98***全文都是用的一般現在時,此句中的was顯然與上下文語境不符,應改為am.
2.檢視主謂是否一致
Anyone may borrow books, and it cost nothing to borrow them. ***NMET’94*** cost應改為costs,因其主語是it***為形式主語***,且上下文均為一般現在時。
3.查指代是否一致
The Smiths did his best to make me feel at home. ***NMET’96***句中的主語the Smiths表的是Smith一家人,因此指示代詞his應改為their.
4.查平行結構是否平行一致
由and,or,but,either or,neither nor,not only,but also,as well as等並列連詞和片語連線的結構可稱為平行結構。It was very kind of them to meet me at the railway station and drove me to their home. 句中的drove顯然與and前面的to meet不平行,應改為drive.
5.查名詞的單複數與修飾詞語或上下文是否一致
We study quite a few subject, such as Maths, Chinese.。。***NMET’97***quite a few只能修飾複數名詞,故subject應改為subjects.
6.查行文邏輯是否一致
Most people can quickly get help from a doctor or go to a hospital since they are ill.***NMET’93***根據行文邏輯,這裡不應該由since來引導原因狀語從句,而應該是when / whenever或if來引導時間或條件狀語從句。
短文改錯解題四原則:改動以最少為原則; 虛詞以新增或刪除為原則; 實詞以改變詞形為原則以保持句子原意為原則。短文改錯解題步驟:通讀全文,掌握大意; 整句分析,逐行推敲。
改完後,要回過頭來重讀一遍全文,檢視改過後是否能使語氣通順,時態一致,合乎邏輯。再次通讀可以在初改時感覺不順的地方集中精力,仔細推敲,使答案更加準確。
