　　A dog named time

　　n old Chinese man's wife got sick for a while, then died. They had been married for more than half a century without any children. After the old companion was gone, the old man felt very lonely. He took friends' advice and went to a pet shop to buy a baby dog.

　　It was a miniature size of poodle which had long, thick, and frizzy***捲曲的*** hair. Everybody said it was indeed a cute puppy. The old man treasured it very much and named his dog “Time.”

　　When he sat down, he would put his puppy on his knees. When he took ask his dog to follow him. The puppy was only a few weeks old, it could not walk as fast as its master. So the old man kept calling, “Time, go faster.” The little puppy had done its best. No matter how he called, it was still doing the same.

　　As time went by, the puppy became stronger. Like a small boy ,it seldom stayed at a place too long and ran around all the time. And it would not listen to its master as closely as it used to. Especially, when he was walking outside, the dog always ran faster than its master. So the man must keep calling, “Go slower, Time.”

　　As time went on and on, finally, the man became older and weaker, while his dog grew bigger and stronger. One day, when the man took his dog outside to do the walk again, he lost control of his dog. The dog ran much far away. He kept calling, “Time, wait for me.” Yet time went ahead and would not listen to him.

　　Finally, the man realized that he could not control the time anymore.

　　一箇中國老人的妻子生病不久便死了，他們結婚超過了半個世紀，從來沒有小孩。老伴走了以後，這個人非常寂寞，他接受了朋友的勸告，去寵物店買了一隻小狗。

　　這是一條迷你型的獅子狗，有著長厚鬆卷的毛，每個人都誇它好可愛。老人很疼愛他的狗，給它起名叫“時間”。

　　每當他坐下時，他就把小狗放在膝蓋上。當他在戶外散步時，他就要他的小狗跟著他走，英語小故事因為小狗只有幾個禮拜大， 所以不像它的主人走得一樣快。雖然老人時常叫，“時間，快點兒走。”小狗已經盡力了，不管他如何叫喊，它仍然走得不快。

　　隨著時間的推移，小狗長壯了。它像一個小男孩。很少在一處停留不動，總是不停地跑來跑去，而且也不像當初那樣地聽從主人的話了。尤其當主人帶著它出門散步的時候;因此，這個人必須不停地叫喊，“慢點兒，時間。”

　　時光不斷流逝，這個男子變得更老弱，可是他的狗卻長得更大更壯。有一天，當這個老人又帶著他的狗出門散步時，他對他的狗失去了控制。狗已經跑得很遠很遠了，他不停的叫喊：“時間，等等我。”可是時間一直向前跑而不再聽他的話。

　　最後，這個男子終於明白他再也不能控制時間了。

　　One day,a little monkey is playing by the well.He looks in the well and shouts :“Oh!My god!The moon has fallen into the well!”An older monkeys runs over, takes a look,and says,“Goodness me!The moon is really in the water!”And olderly monkey comes over.He is very surprised as well and cries out:“The moon is in the well.”A group of monkeys run over to the well .They look at the moon in the well and shout:“The moon did fall into the well!Come on!Let'get it out!”Then,the oldest monkey hangs on the tree up side down ,with his feet on the branch .And he pulls the next monkey's feet with his hands.All the other monkeys follow his suit,And they join each other one by one down to the moon in the well.Just before they reach the moon,the oldest monkey raises his head and happens to see the moon in the sky,He yells excitedly “Don't be so foolish!The moon is still in the sky!”

　　Do the things you don't like

　　A farmer and his son, traveling by horse and buggy up a narrow lane, met a motorist going the other way. There was no room to pass for two miles in either direction. The motorist, in hurry, honked his horn.

　　'If you don't back up,” said the farmer, rolling up his sleeves, “I won't like what I'm going to have to do.” The xiaogushi8 surprised driver put his car in reverse and backed up two miles, allowing the horse and buggy to go by.

　　'What was it you wouldn't have liked to have done xiaogushi8 back there?” asked the farmer's son.

　　'Back up two miles,” replied the farmer.

　　一位農民和他的兒子坐著馬車來到一條狹窄的小巷， 他們看到一個司機正往他們這個方向開來。兩個方向2英里以內已經沒有空間讓他們擦身而過了。司機焦急地按著喇叭。

　　“假如你不往後退，”農民擼著袖子說，“我並不喜歡我將要必須去做的事。”司機甚是驚訝，掛了倒擋，退後了2英里，讓馬車先過去了。

　　“剛才你說你並不喜歡做的事是什麼啊?”農民的兒子問。

　　“退後2英里。”農民回答。
