冬季是四季之一，秋春之間的季節。天文學上認為是從12月至3月，中國習慣指立冬到立春的三個月時間，也指農曆“十、十一、十二”三個月。在南北半球所處的時間不同。在南半球，冬季在6、7、8月份，在北半球，冬季在12、1、2月份。在中國，冬季從立冬開始，到立春結束，西方人則普遍稱冬至至春分為冬季。從氣候學上講，平均氣溫連續5天低於10℃算作冬季。
