建築物

建築物一般指人們或為了其可觀賞之形象、或為了其可使用之空間的，相對於地面固定且有一定存在時間的人造物。它是建築學或建築設計研究的物件。一般情況下，建築物建造出來的目的既側重於得到人可以活動的建築空間—建築物內部的空間或/和建築物外部之間圍合而成的空間；也側重於獲得建築形象—建築物的外部形象或和建築物的內部形象。這其中，重在獲得可使用的內部空間和或可觀賞的外部形象的建築物往往是多數。人類藉著興建各種建築群，提供社會運作的空間或機能需求。它們往往都具備人能居住、宗教、商業、生產等活動的穩定空間，是人造自然的主體。
