刀

刀，為單面長刃的短兵器。刀的最初形態，與鉞非常接近。到春秋戰國時期，刀的形狀發生巨大變化，兩漢時，刀逐漸發展為步兵的主戰兵器之一，同時出現了許多不同形式的長柄刀。古代銅刀存世數量不多，體形均輕薄，最厚處僅0.35釐米，其形制粗分有短柄翹首刀、長柲卷首刀、平刃刀、曲刃刀等數類。同時泛指可用於切、削、割、剁的工具，與匕合稱亦為膳食器。
