十二生肖是中國與十二地支相配以人出生年份的十二種動物，包括鼠、牛、虎、兔、龍、蛇、馬、羊、猴、雞、狗、豬。 十二生肖的起源與動物崇拜有關，每一種生肖都有豐富的傳說，並以此形成一種觀念闡釋系統，成為民間文化中的形象哲學，如婚配上的屬相、本命年等。
