樓梯（stair、stairway）是一種用於連線較大垂直距離的建築設計，用於樓層之間和高差較大時的交通聯絡。 早在中國戰國時期的銅器上已鐫刻有樓梯，意大利於15～16世紀將室內樓梯從傳統的封閉空間中解放出來，使之成為形體富於變化帶有裝飾性的建築組成部分。樓梯的原理是將垂直距離切分為小段的垂直距離，主要由樓梯段、休息板（平臺）和欄杆扶手（欄板）三部分組成，特殊型別的樓梯有電動扶梯、摺梯等。
