話語(discourse) 是人們說出來或寫出來的語言，話語分析是指對人們說(敘述) 什麼，如何說(敘述) ，以及所說的話(敘述) 帶來的社會後果的研究。話語是在人與人的互動過程中呈現出現的,因此具有社會性。話語是特定社會語境中人與人之間從事溝通的具體言語行為，即一定的說話人與受話人之間在特定社會語境中透過文字而展開的溝通活動，包括說話人、受話人、文字、溝通、語境等要素。
