癌症

癌症（cancer）是由於機體細胞失去正常調控，過度增殖而引起的疾病，也稱惡性腫瘤。這些過度增殖的細胞會侵犯周圍組織，甚至經由體內迴圈系統或淋巴系統轉移到身體其他部分。 癌症的發生是一個多因子、多步驟的複雜過程，分為致癌、促癌、演進三個過程，一旦確診，常以結合手術、化療和放療的方式進行治療。如果癌症未經治療，通常最終結果將導致死亡。
