從地球赤道平面向北量度的緯度。符號為N，自北緯0°～90°。地球上的緯度的一種，地面上的點在參考橢球體上的緯度，即過該點的參考橢球體的法線同地球赤道平面的交角。它不考慮地球內部物質分佈不均和地形的影響，故不同於天文緯度。但地理緯度是由天文緯度訂正而得。它同天文緯度的差值不超過30″。
