　　Is he the one who writes all those sob stories?

　　Miyo：

　　I beg your pardon? What did you say?

　　什麼?你在說什麼啊?

　　I could be wrong, but, ...

　　What are you doing there?

　　I'm reading.

　　Mary：

　　Don't just read when you are free. I think you need an out side interest.

　　Dad：

　　What do you suggest?

　　你建議我乾點什麼?

　　Mary：

　　Swimming? Playing balls? Or collecting coins? Any thing you like. They can give you a lot of pleasure.

　　游泳?玩玩球?或者集硬幣，什麼都可以，可以給你帶來很多樂趣。

　　Dad：

　　You are right.

　　你說的對。

　　What do you do in your spare time?

　　你業餘時間幹什麼?

　　Jim：

　　I enjoy reading alone at home. How about you?

　　我喜歡一個在家裡讀書，你呢?

　　Mary：

　　I like swimming very much so I spend much of my spare time in swimming pools.

　　我特別喜歡游泳，大部分業餘時間都泡在游泳池裡了。

　　Jim：

　　Then you must be in good health.

　　那你的身體肯定特棒。

　　Mary：

　　Yes. I think if you are free you should take part in some sports. It will do you good.

　　是的，我想你如果有時間的話應該參加點體育運動，對你有好處。
