　　A: Oh, I see. So it’s no big deal, I guess. We have many other applicants.

　　B: That’s right, he was just a drop in the ocean.

　　A: 你為什麼沒僱昨天你面試的那個人?他看上去挺完美的。

　　baloney: 原指一種廉價午餐中使用的香腸，這種香腸是使用邊角碎料的肉製成的。在口語中，這個詞常用來形容某事太垃圾，不值得相信，或某人不誠實。

　　check up with: 同……核實;查證。

　　no big deal: 某事不重要，沒什麼大不了的。

　　applicant: 申請人。

　　a drop in the ocean: 滄海一粟;九牛一毛。

　　A: Just saying you did not steal it is immaterial unless you can prove it.

　　B: I know I will look feeble if I cannot give a good excuse for why it’s gone.

　　A: You may have a lowly background, but we can find a way to prove you did not steal it.

　　B: Well, this is no minor thing you are doing to help me!
