　　：從加州到墨西哥

　　Frank waved goodbye to all his friends there to wish him off. He jumped on his bike and started to pedal. First he would pedal to the end of his block and then to the outskirt of town and then right out of the state of California.

　　法蘭克向前來祝他好運的朋友們揮手道別。他跳上腳踏車，踩著踏板開始出發。他要先騎到街尾再騎到市郊，然後直接騎出加州市。

　　Frank was riding his bike all the way along the coast to Mexico. The first day of his trip was good. The weather was nice and there were few hills. In fact, his first week was good, with the exception of a flat tire and mild sunburn.

　　法蘭克打算沿著海岸一路騎著腳踏車到墨西哥。第一天行程還算順利，天氣很棒，斜坡也不多。事實上，除了爆胎和輕微的晒傷外，第一週情況算是不錯。

　　Halfway into his second week, Frank began to feel tired. A storm was coming. There was nowhere for him to stop for miles. He kept pedaling even though his legs were sore and tired. Then it began to rain a heavy, cold rain.

　　但是第二週過了一半時，法蘭克開始覺得累了。而且出現了一場暴風雨;放眼望去，好幾英里內都沒有地方可以讓他停下來躲避，儘管他的腿又痛又累，也只好不停地踩著腳踏車。

　　Frank could hardly see. His breath was getting short, his chest hurt. He had to keep going. Frank drove all through the night. By morning the storm had quit and the sun was out as Frank arrived at the Mexican border, tired and sore.

　　接著天空開始下起又大又冷的雨，讓法拉克幾乎看不到東西。他的呼吸越來越短促，胸口也開始疼痛，但仍需不斷往前才行。法蘭克整晚不停地騎，到了早上，暴風雨終於平息，太陽也出來了，這時全身疲累又痠痛的法蘭克也騎到了墨西哥邊境。

　　He had made it. He had biked all the way to Mexico!

　　他總算成功了，終於騎著腳踏車一路抵達了墨西哥!

　　：外星人

　　Wendy and Allan were playing in their backyard when they saw a strange light in the sky coming toward them. The light got closer and closer. It was coming from a strange ship.

　　溫蒂和艾倫在自家後院玩耍時，看到天空中有道奇怪的光射向他們，而且離他們越來越近，原來它是從一艘奇怪的穿上發出來的。

　　Wendy and Allan couldn't believe their eyes. It was an alien spaceship and it was landing in their backyard.

　　溫蒂和艾倫簡直不敢相信自己的眼睛，那居然是一艘太空船，正要在他們的後院降落。

　　The door of the ship opened, but nothing came outside. Wendy was braver than Allan. She walked into the ship. Allan followed his sister. Inside, Wendy met a small green alien with big eyes. Then the door shut and the spaceship took off with Wendy and Allan still inside.

　　太空船的門打開了，卻沒有看到有什麼人走出來。比艾倫勇敢的溫蒂先走了進去，艾倫則跟在他姐姐後面。進太空船後，溫蒂遇到一個眼睛大大的小小綠色外星人，接著門被關了起來。太空船帶著還在裡面的溫蒂和艾倫起飛了。

　　The ship took them to another planet where the little green man lived. There were lots of little green aliens. They had a strange language that the kids could not understand.

　　這艘船把他們帶到另一個小小的綠色外星人居住的行星，那裡有許多小小的綠色外星人，講著這兩個孩子不懂的奇怪語言。

　　Although the aliens were friendly, Wendy and Allan wanted to go home. So, the spaceship took them back to their house. Wendy and Allan took them back to their house. Wendy and Allan never told anyone about their trip because who would believe them. Would you?

　　雖然外星人很友善，但溫蒂和艾倫還是想回家，於是太空船便帶他們回到他們自己的房子。溫蒂和艾倫從來沒有告訴過別人他們這次的外星之旅，因為沒有人會相信他們。你會嗎?

　　：Yellow Submarine

　　黃色潛水艇

　　The class loaded into the submarine. "Be careful," said their teacher Mrs. Teller. The class was going on to a school field trip under the ocean. Everyone was very excited. When everyone was in and the doors were locked the submarine started to move.

　　全班同學都進入了潛水艇。“小心。”他們的老師泰勒女士說道。這一班要在海底進行學校的實地考察旅行，每個人都興奮極了。大家都就定位後，門便鎖了起來，潛水艇於是開始出發。

　　The captain was at the front. There were many windows in the submarine and the students looked out the window at all the interesting things. "Look over here," one boy shouted. "It's an octopus! Wow. It is so big." All the students ran over to where the boy was standing.

　　船長在潛水艇最前面的位置。潛水艇有很多扇窗戶，學生們都看著窗外許許多多有趣的東西。“看這裡，”一名男孩大喊：“是章魚耶!哇，好大隻哦!”於是所有的學生都跑到男孩站的那個地方。

　　The octopus was bigger than the sub. It s long legs could have wrapped around it. The sub kept going deeper into the water. "Look at the school of fish," said another student as the sub sailed through a school of thousands and thousands of fish.

　　那個章魚比潛水艇還大，它的腳還可以把整艘潛水艇給包起來。潛水艇繼續往更深的水域前進。“看那群魚，”另外一名學生在潛水艇行經數不清的一大群魚時說道。

　　The students looked out and the fish looked in. At the bottom of the ocean the students saw something very interesting. It was a sunken warship. The teacher told them it was from World War 2.

　　學生們都向外看，魚群則向內看。學生們看到海底有個東西很有趣，原來是一艘沉沒的軍艦。老師告訴大家那是第二次世界大戰時留下來的。

　　And then it was time to go home. When they got back to school the students wrote a paper about their adventure under the sea.

　　接著也差不多該回家了。當大家回到學校後，每個學生都寫了一篇關於海底探險的報告。
