　　When she was tired with hunting artemis used to take abath in a little mountain spring.one hot summer afternoon she was playing in the cool，quiet water with hermaidens when she heard a rustle behind the bushes .she feltquite angry to find that a young hunter was peeping admiringlyat her naked body .her maidens gave a sharp cry and crowded around the goddess. but young actaeon had seen the huntress.

　　當厭倦狩獵時，阿爾特彌斯常常在小山泉中淋浴。一個盛夏的下午，她和仙女們正在涼爽平靜的山泉中戲水時，突然聽到灌木叢中沙沙作響。她非常惱怒地發現一個青年獵人用愛慕的眼光偷看自己的****。仙女們發出刺耳的尖叫，簇擁在她身旁。但獵手阿卡同還是看見了女獵手阿爾特彌斯。

　　Actaeon loved the hunting.he had been searching the woods every day.on this particular afternoon he felt so tired with running about that he，by accident，came over to the springin search of water.he was thus surprised to find artemisba thing.the angry goddess was not to be calmed.she splashed water in the hunter''s face.as soon as the water drops fell on actaeon，he was changed into a stag .just at that moment he heard the barking of his team of fifty hunting dogs.they were coming up to him.he was suddenly seized with fear ，and presently ran away.the dogs，all driven mad by the goddess，ran after him closely.running as fast as his legs could carry him，actaeon was soon out of breath .feeling certain that he 1was to die，he dropped to the ground and made no further attempt to get up.the dogs came nearer to their former masterand tore him to pleces.

　　阿卡同酷愛打獵。他每日都穿越森林，搜尋獵物。而就在這個下午，他四處奔波頗感疲勞，因尋找水而偶然來到這片泉水旁。這樣，他就驚奇地發現水中沐浴的阿爾特彌斯。惱火的女神無法息怒。她將泉水濺到獵手的臉上。水落在他身上後，阿卡同轉眼就變成了一隻牡鹿。恰在這時，阿卡同聽到了獵狗的嚎叫，獵狗們向他撲來，他突然驚慌失措，拔腿逃跑。而那群被女神逼瘋了的獵狗們則在後面窮追不捨。阿卡同拼命狂奔，很快就上氣不接下氣。感覺自己肯定會死去，他就一下躺在地上，不想再起來了。獵狗趕上了從前的主人，將他撕成了碎塊。

　　Teacher Debbie Moon’s first graders were discussing a picture of a family.

　　One little boy in the picture had a different color hair from duanwenw the other family members. One child suggested that maybe he was adopted.

　　“Depend on yourself” is what nature says to every man. Parents can help you. Teachers can help you. others still can help you. But all these only help you to help yourself

　　“自立”是自然對每個人的要求.也許你的父母、老師能夠幫助你,其他人也可以幫助你,但是所有這些人都只是幫你更加自主、自立。

　　There have been many men in history. But many of them were very poor in childhood, and no uncles, aunts or friends to help them. Schools were few. They could not depend duanwenw upon them for an education. They saw how it was and set to work with all their strength to know something. They worked their own way till they became well-known.

　　歷史上有很多偉人,他們在幼年時很窮,沒有任何親戚朋友幫助他們,而且當時很少有學校,所以他們無法從學校獲得教育.認識到這一點,他們便開始自己努力去學習,並排除萬難直到最後成功。

　　One of the most famous teachers in England used to tell his pupils, ”I can not make worthy men of you, but I can duanwenw help make men of yourself.”

　　Some young men don't try their best to make themselves valuable to human beings. They can never gain achievement unless they see their weak points and change their course. They are nothing now, and will be nothing as long as they live, unless they accept the advice of their parents and teachers, and depend on their own efforts.

　　有些年輕人沒有盡他們最大的努力去實現自己的人生價值。除非他們能夠認識到自己的弱點,改變自己的方向,不然他們就不會獲得成功。他們應該虛心接受父母和師長提出的忠告,並努力奮鬥,否則,他們現在一無所成,而且終其一生都會一無所成。
