　　Today was the first day of my new life. I looked at my new books and checked everything for the new school year. I was excited as well as worried.

　　今天是我新生活的第一天，我翻看我的新課本，檢查了新學年的一切。我既激動又擔心。

　　Entering new school, I was curious about everything, new classrooms, new teachers, new classmates etc. It would be a new start for each student. And what I was worried about is that I had no friends here. I wondered if no liked to play with me. Were the teachers strict with students?

　　進入新的學校，我對所有事情都很好奇，新的教室，新的老師，新的同學等等。這對每個學生來說都是一個新的開始。我所擔心的是在這沒有朋友。我想知道是不是沒有人喜歡和我玩。老師對學生是不是很嚴厲?

　　I fell relaxed when the teacher asked me, ''What else could I help you, freshman?". I found that the teachers were kind and polite, and the classmates around me were friendly. While I was thinking about how to get on well with my classmates, my desk mate showed me his favorite Ipad4s. He wanted to play with me, but I didn't know how to play, so he taught me patiently, and we played happily.

　　With the increasingly serious shortage of water resources, protecting water resources and water conservations has become an urgent task for human beings. If we do not cherish the water, then the last drop of water in earth would be our tears. At present, some countries are facing with water shortage, and there are more than one billion people can’t drink clean water. Therefore, water conservation must be attached more attention than ever before. The problem of water shortage of the urban population has become increasingly prominent. Some people may think that we can do nothing for water conservation or our efforts make no use to it. However, great things may be done by mass effort. As long as each of us has the sense of water conservation and take actions, we can see huge changes.

　　隨著水資源短缺不斷加劇，保護水資源和節約用水已經成為人類的一項緊急任務。如果我們不珍惜水，地球上的最後一滴水就是我們的眼淚。目前，一些國家正面臨著水資源的短缺，超過十億人口喝不到乾淨的水。因此，我們必須比以前更注意節約用水。城市人口水資源短缺問題已經日益突出。有的人可能認為我們不能為節約用水做些什麼，或是我們的努力對此沒有用。但是，偉大的事情是從很多努力而來的。只要我們每個人都有節約用水的意識並行的起來，我們就可以看到巨大改變。

　　Compared to the universe, our lives are really short, just like a meter. But the meaning of life doesn’t depend on its length but contributions. For example, Marie Curie, in order to find the radium, she devoted her whole life to the research. Though the radioactive element had shorter her life, she never gave up her mind to serve the world. According to her story, I conclude that the first meaning of life is contribution. The standard of judging a life isn’t how much he asks for but how much he gives away.

　　和宇宙相比，我們的生命其實很短暫，彷彿只有一米。但是生命的意義並不取決於它的長度，而取決於它的貢獻。比如，居里夫人為了發現鐳把她的畢生都奉獻到研究中。儘管放射性元素縮短了她的生命，但她從來沒有放棄為世界服務的決心。根據她的故事，我可以得出這樣一個結論，生命的最初意義在於奉獻。判斷一個人生命的標準不是他索取了多少而是他貢獻了多少。

　　The second meaning of life is struggling for our goals. Each of us has goals, such as longing for position, hoping for wealth and looking forward to be loved. However, the path leading to them isn’t filled with roses. But no matter how tough to accomplish our dream we should never say die. If you really want to achieve them, please keep diligent and patient just like an English motto goes;“No pains ,no gains.”

　　生命的第二大意義在於為我們的目標努力奮鬥。我們每個人都有目標，比如追求職位，渴望財富，期待被愛。但是，通往它們的道路是佈滿荊棘的。但是不管實現夢想有多艱難，我們都應該永不言敗。如果你真的想實現它們，請保持勤奮和耐心，就像一句英語座右銘說的：“沒有付出就沒有收穫。”

　　The third meaning of life is happiness. Not only should we keep happy, but also bring enjoyment to others .For example, we can have an optimistic attitude which can affect the people in our surroundings. Besides, we are supposed to be ready to help others, because in this way we can make both us and them happy .I consider it an unchangeable truth that ‘Helping others creates happiness.’

　　生命的第三大意義在於快樂。我們不僅應該保持快樂，也應該給別人帶來快樂。比如，我們可以抱著樂觀的態度去影響身邊的人。此外，我們應該樂於助人，因為這樣我們可以使我們和別人都開心。我認為“助人為樂”是不變的真理。

　　just want to say, the lives for us are limited, but we are able to make efforts to make it shine out .Believe it, though our lives are rather short, we can also make a hit .If we try our best, our lives will be meaningful as well.

　　我只想說，生命給予我們的是有限的，但是我們可以努力使它發光。相信，儘管我們的生命很短暫，我們同樣可以使它綻放光芒。如果我們盡力了，我們的生命同樣有意義。
