受（shòu）是漢字通用規範一級字，此字始見於商代甲骨文。最初有兩層含義，一是交付東西，後另造一字“授”來表示。二是接受東西。由此可引申為遭受。此外還可引申為收取、容納、買入、繼承、應和、稟受等義。
